Dr. Faiz Omer M. Jamie

Dr. Faiz Omer Mohammad Jamie is a researcher and academic specializing in peace and development studies, with over two decades of experience in peacebuilding, political economy, and humanitarian action across Africa. He served as the Director of the Center for Peace and Development Studies at Bahri University (Sudan) and held the position of Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair for Peace.

He has consulted for regional and international organizations including IGAD, the League of Arab States, and various NGOs, contributing to policy frameworks, conflict transformation strategies, and post-conflict recovery processes.

He is the author of many books in both languages Arabic and English including “Humanitarian Assistance in Sudan in the Context of African Political Economy (1984–1996)”, published by the UNESCO Chair for Peace. Currently based in the Sultanate of Oman, he remains open to research and consultancy engagements in transitional justice, resource governance, and sustainable development across the continent
