Dr. Yassir Hassan Satti Saeed
is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Managerial Science, University of Zalingei, Central Darfur State, Sudan. With over two decades of experience in academia, development, and peacebuilding, he has worked extensively with international and national organizations including UNAMID, UN Women, UNDP, Oxfam, and the Norwegian Church Aid. His professional focus spans gender and peacebuilding, conflict resolution, development planning, and rural livelihoods.
Dr. Satti has led and contributed to numerous consultancies across Sudan and the Horn of Africa, particularly in gender mainstreaming, value chain analysis, and community-based peacebuilding. He has authored and co-authored several research papers, training manuals, and academic chapters addressing issues of gender, conflict transformation, and sustainable development.
Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from Sudan University of Science and Technology and an M.A. in Gender and Peacebuilding from the United Nations University for Peace in Costa Rica, Dr. Satti combines academic excellence with extensive field experience in post-conflict contexts, making him a leading voice in peace and development studies in Sudan and beyond.
